[文章摘要]基于主题情景的单元整体教学设计是根据单元核心话题对主题情景进行宏观创设,通过分课时情景的创设、教学文本的适度重构以及单元教学活动的有效设计,将各课时的语言学习与单元主题情景进行有效融合。在创设主题情景时,要注重情景的单元整体性,并且所创设的情景要语言形式与语言意义并重。在主题情景中实施单元整体教学的目的是让学生在富有意义的情景中学习语言,发展学生的综合语言运用能力,促进学生英语学科核心素养的形成。

PUZZLES IN GEOGRAPHY 
 
People may wonder why different words are used to describe these four countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You can clarify this question if you study British history.
 
First there was England. Wales was linked to it in the thirteenth century. Now when people refer to England you find Wales included as well. Next England and Wales were joined to Scotland in the seventeenth century and the name was changed to "Great Britain". Happily this was accomplished without conflict when King James of Scotland became King of England and Wales as well. Finally the English government tried in the early twentieth century to form the United Kingdom by getting Ireland connected in the same peaceful way. However, the southern part of Ireland was unwilling and broke away to form its own government.

Daisy had always longed to help endangered species of wildlife. One day she woke up and found a flying carpet by her bed. “Where do you want to go?” it asked. Daisy responded immediately. “I'd like to see some endangered wildlife,” she said. “Please take me to a distant land where I can find the animal that gave fur to make this sweater.” At once the carpet flew away and took her to Tibet. There Daisy saw an antelope looking sad. It said, “We're being killed for the wool beneath our stomachs. Our fur is being used to make sweaters for people like you. As a result, we are now an endangered species.” At that Daisy cried, “I'm sorry I didn't know that. I wonder what is being done to help you.

An Ice Cold Summer
 
In the summer of 2014, a weird and wonderful craze swept across the world. Everywhere you looked people were pouring buckets of freezing water over their heads. The craze soon had a name— ‘The Ice Bucket Challenge’ and the idea behind it was to raise money for charity. Despite the popularity of the challenge, not many people knew where it had come from. In fact, it was the idea of an American called Pete Frates. He had been a promising college baseball player who seemed to have a bright future with the Boston Red Sox. However, his career was cut short when he fell ill with a disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (or ALS for short). ALS attacks the nervous system and can cause speech problems and paralysis. It can also kill. Frates wanted to do something to raise both money and awareness to help sufferers of ALS.

一、引言
 
《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版)》中关于高中英语学业质量水平的二级要求指出:学生在书面表达中能有条理地描述自己或他人的经历,阐述观点,表达情感态度;能描述事件发生、发展的过程;能描述人或事物的特征、说明概念;能概述所读语篇的主要内容或续写语篇(教育部,2018)。

【摘  要】学科教研既要适合校情,又要满足教学和师资结构的需求,同时还应善于整合区域资源。因此,开展精准教研,优化教研路径,变通教研方法,显得非常及时和必要。本文基于教研实践,提出了实施精准教研的一般路径和基本方法,即精准切入,疏通备课通道;精准施策,开展同课异构;精准剖析,探寻本真问题;精准指导,提高协作教研的实效性。

一、问题的提出
 
笔者所在的区域内有两所学校——A校、B校,由于地处偏远,导致师资极为紧缺,教学质量每况愈下。通过调研得知:A校共有六位英语教师,三位是转岗教师,两位是刚从中学调配到小学的英语教师,一位是英语专业毕业且教学六年的年轻教师;B校共有五位英语教师,一位是代课教师,两位是音乐、美术兼任英语课的教师,一位是转岗教师,一位是英语专业毕业且教学八年的教师。A、B两校英语教师经验不足,力量薄弱,缺乏指导,因此开展师本培训、实施精准指导迫在眉睫。

A Pioneer For All People
 
Although he is one of China's most famous scientists, Yuan Longping considers himself a farmer, for he works the land to do his research. Indeed, his sunburnt face and arms and his slim, strong body are just like those of millions of Chinese farmers, for whom he has struggled for the past five decades. Yuan Longping grows what is called super hybrid rice. In 1973, he became the first agricultural pioneer in the world to grow rice that has a high output. This special strain of rice makes it possible to produce 20% more of the crop in the same fields. Now more than 60% of the rice produced in China each year is from this hybrid strain.
 
Born in 1930, Yuan Longping graduated from Southwest Agricultural College in 1953.

First thing was a ride on a cable car: From top of the hill got a spectacular view of San Francisco Bay and the city. Built in 1873, the cable car system was invented by Andrew Hallidie, who wanted to find a better form of transport than horse-drawn trams.
