(中学篇)2018年第01期:深挖阅读文本内涵 培育学科核心素养——人教版高中英语Module 2 Unit 5阅读教学设计(广东:黎洁媛、伞瑶、陈皓曦 )一文涉及的教学内容

Have you ever wanted to be part of a band as a famous singer or musician? Have you ever dreamed of playing in front of thousands of people at a concert, at which everyone is clapping and appreciating your music? Do you sing karaoke and pretend you are a famous singer like Song Zuying or Liu Huan? To be honest, a lot of people attach great importance to becoming rich and famous. But just how do people form a band?
Many musicians meet and form a band because they like to write and play their own music. They may start as a group of high-school students, for whom practicing their music in someone's house is the first step to fame.

Theme Parks — Fun and More than Fun
Which theme park would you like to visit? There are various kinds of theme parks, with a different park for almost everything: food, culture, science, cartoons, movies or history. Some parks are famous for having the biggest or longest roller coasters, others for showing the famous sights and sounds of a culture. Whichever and whatever you like, there is a theme park for you!
The theme park you are probably most familiar with is Disneyland. It can be found in several parts of the world. It will bring you into a magical world and make your dreams come true, whether you are traveling through space, visiting a pirate ship or meeting your favourite fairy tale or Disney cartoon character.

Let's Run through the Rain!
Bob Perks
She had been shopping with her Mom in Wal-Mart. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful brown-haired, freckle-faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the Earth, it has no time to flow down the spout.
We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Wal-Mart.

Marty's Story
Hi, my name is Marty Fielding and I guess you could say that I am “one in a million”. In other words, there are not many people like me. You see, I have a muscle disease which makes me very weak, so I can't run or climb stairs as quickly as other people. In addition, sometimes I am very clumsy and drop things or bump into furniture. Unfortunately, the doctors don't know how to make me better, but I am very outgoing and have learned to adapt to my disability. My motto is: live one day at a time.
Until I was ten years old I was the same as everyone else. I used to climb trees, swim and play football.

Unit 5 Why Do You Like Pandas?
Section B 2a-2c
Hello. We are students from Thailand, and we want to save the elephants. The elephant is one of Thailand's symbols. Our first flag had a white elephant on it. This is a symbol of good luck.
Elephants are smart animals. They can play soccer or music. They can also draw very well. People say that “an elephant never forgets”. Elephants can walk for a long time and never get lost.

人教版Go for It!八年级下册Unit 2 Section B 2a-2e阅读文本
Dear Miss Li,
I'd like to thank you for giving money to Animal Helpers. I'm sure you know that this group was set up to help disabled people like me. You helped to make it possible for me to have Lucky. Lucky makes a big difference to my life.

He Was Not There as a Father
My name is Makaziwe Mandela. I'm Nelson Mandela's oldest daughter from his first marriage to my mom, Nurse Evelyn Mase. I actually struggled for years with feelings of anger and abandonment and my brothers felt pretty much the same.
As a child, before my father went to prison, I longed to have both of my parents in my life, but it was my mother who brought me up. I had a father who had been there but not really there.

[Passage 1]
Last month, our dog welcomed me when I came home from school. He wanted a walk, but I was too tired. I threw down my bag and went to the living room. The minute I sat down in front of the TV, my mom came over.
“Could you please take the dog for a walk?” she asked. “Could I watch one show first?” I asked. “No!” she replied angrily. “You watch TV all the time and never help out around the house! I can't work all day and do housework all evening.” “Well, I work all day at school, too! I'm just as tired as you are!” I shouted back. My mom did not say anything and walked away. For one week, she did not do any housework and neither did I.
