【摘   要】基于主题情景的单元整体教学设计是根据单元核心话题对主题情景进行宏观创设,通过分课时情景的创设、教学文本的适度重构以及单元教学活动的有效设计,将各课时的语言学习与单元主题情景进行有效融合。在创设主题情景时,要注重情景的单元整体性,并且所创设的情景要语言形式与语言意义并重。在主题情景中实施单元整体教学的目的是让学生在富有意义的情景中学习语言,发展学生的综合语言运用能力,促进学生英语学科核心素养的形成。

一、主题情景的提出
 
主题情景是指基于教学内容和教学目标,围绕一个教学主题而创设的整体情景。主题情景是教学的主线,贯穿于课堂始终。学生在主题情景中可以接触与主题相关的学习内容,并在情景中真实地感知、理解和运用语言知识,形成语言技能。
 
程晓堂(2009)指出,语言总是在一定的情景中使用的。如果学生能在相对完整、真实的情景中接触、体验、理解和学习语言,那么他们就能够更好地理解语言的意义和用法,也能更好地掌握语言的形式。在实施单元教学时,依据单元话题创设主题情景,并对单元教学内容进行整体设计,能够帮助学生更好地理解单元话题,掌握单元语言知识,提升语言运用能力。

【摘   要】通过观察一组小学英语同题异构课并分析教学设计中出现的共性问题,对教师教材解读提出如下建议:基于教材,搭建学生走进教材的桥梁;立足学生,创设学生主动学习的机会;把握理念,思考学生思维发展的可能。

文本解读是教师上课前的必要工作。当教师能读懂教材,并结合课程理念丰富教材和活化教材时,课堂互动中才能体现教材编者的编排意图、教师的教学设计思路以及学生学习的思维过程。然而在平时的教学中,有些课堂活动中看不到真实的学习过程,也听不到学生个性的表达。教学设计源于教师对教材的解读,教学设计的问题反映了教师教材解读的问题。
 
近日,笔者观摩了译林版《英语》五年级下册Unit 7 Chinese Festivals一课故事板块的六节同题异构课。本课故事主要从时间、活动和饮食特点三个角度介绍了Spring Festival、Dragon Boat Festival、Mid-Autumn Festival和Double Ninth Festival四个中国传统节日。从文本结构分析,该故事的语言比较有规律,但内容比较枯燥,因为篇幅限制,节日信息并未全部包括。对于五年级学生来说,四个节日都是非常熟悉的传统节日, 理解故事没有难度。

Canadian schoolboy Ryan had trouble believing the words spoken by his teacher that many people in developing African countries couldn't get enough clean water. The shy six-year-old looked across the classroom at the drinking fountain. It was very close — only ten steps away. So, Ryan asked himself, “Why do some African children have to walk ten kilometres to get water every day? And why is the water so dirty that it makes them sick?” Young Ryan thought, “Life is easy for me, but hard for those people. Why don't I help?”
 
At first, his plan was to earn money to build a single well somewhere in Africa.

Spud Webb was born in Texas, the USA, in 1963. He was very small — much smaller than the other kids at school. However, he had a big dream — he wanted to play in the NBA.
 
While attending junior high, Spud tried out for the school team, but he was refused to ploy at first because he was too small. He did not lose heart. When he finally got the chance, he scored 20 points in his first game.
